Tonjock Rosemary Kinge is the chair and an Associate Professor of Mycology and Phytopathology in the Department of Plant Sciences, Faculty of Science in the University of Bamenda, Cameroon. She has a PhD in Botany (Mycology) from the University of Buea in 2013. Her research is focused on; food security, fungi diversity, fungi pathology, biodiversity conservation and multidisciplinary. Rosemary is a member of several scientific organizations including the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) where she is the technical and logistic secretary.

She is an Affiliate of the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), a member and executive committee member of TWAS Young Affiliate Network (TYAN). Also, Rosemary is a fellow of the African Science Leadership Programme (ASLP) cohort 5.0. Rosemary is a TWAS-CAS postgraduate fellow in Kunming Institute of Botany, China in 2008 and postdoctoral fellowship grant from the Agricultural Research Consortium of South Africa and University of The Free State Bloemfontein in 2016. In 2017, she was a Fulbright scholar in the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA and from 2021-2022, she was a George Foster Alexander von Humboldt Experienced research fellow in the University of Bayreuth, Germany. Rosemary is the coordinator for the western zone for Cameroonian Professional Research Oriented Women (CaPROWN) and a mentor for Higher Institute for Growth in Health Research for (HIGHER) Women Consortium, Cameroon.

She is the BSPP ambassador and the Next Einstein Fellow ambassador in Cameroon. Rosemary has been awarded research and outreach funding’s from several organizations. Rosemary has won several travel grants and attended workshops and conferences around the world where she was speaker in a handful. She is editor in Conservation Letters and reviewer for many journals in plant pathology. She has published over 45 articles in international peered-reviewed journals. Rosemary has trained many masters and some PhD holders and currently supervises many. She is passionate on mentoring girls and early female career researchers in STEM fields..
