Mr. Sama was born in September, 1995. He is currently a Ph.D student in the faculty of Science, The University of Bamenda, Cameroon and a Food science Teacher at Government Secondary school Elung-Oku, Cameroon. He obtained his Bachelor and Master’s Degree in the year 2016 and 2020 respectively from The University of Bamenda. In the same year 2020, he obtained a Secondary School Technical Teacher Diploma (DIPET II) in Home Economics, from the Higher Technical Teachers Training College, Bambili, Cameroon. He also teaches at the International University of Jean Paul II, the Institute of Bafang at the department Medical sciences and Nursing sciences. His research is focused on; food security, Plant pathogenic fungi diversity and identification, Invitro Control with bio-extract, biodiversity and conservation.
Sama is a member of several scientific organizations including Congo Symposium Frontiers, The African Phytopathology Group, and the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP). Sama received funding from the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) Covid-19 fund in 2022, an Idea Wild equipment grant for Conservation projects in 2022. He has attended both international and national conferences like Third International Conference Organized by Cameroon Academy of Yong Scientist in Yaoundé, Cameroon, International Mountain Conference virtually in September 2022 in Austria, 29th Annual conference organized by Cameroon Bioscience Society from the 1st to 3rd December.
Mr Sama is also a holder of a certificate of completion of Research Writing in science by AUTHOR RAID on the 26th May, 2022. He is currently carrying out research in plant pathology and looking forward to identify Cabbage pathogens, meet cabbage demands and promote food security in the Western highlands of Cameroon. He is currently co-supervising both undergraduate and post graduate students.
