Mrs Mercy Nkeh was born on 14th July 1969. She is currently a Ph.D student in the faculty of Science, The University of Bamenda, Cameroon and a Biology Teacher at Baptist Comprehensive High School Nkwen, Northwest Region, Cameroon. She obtained her Bachelor and Master’s Degree in the year 1996 and 2015 respectively from The University of Buea. Her research is focused on; food security, Plant pathogenic fungi diversity and identification, Invitro Control with bio-extract, biodiversity and conservation.
Mercy is a member of several scientific organizations including African Science Frontiers, The African Phytopathology Group, and the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP). Mercy received funding from the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) Covid-19 fund in 2022. Mercy has attended both international and national conferences like Third International Conference Organized by Cameroon Academy of Yong Scientist in Yaounde, Cameroon, 29th Annual conference organized by Cameroon Bioscience Society from the 1st to 3rd December 2022.
Mercy is also a holder of a certificate of completion of Research Writing in science by SmartSciFrika on the 15th August 2022. Mercy is currently carrying out research in plant pathology and looking forward to investigate antifungal activities of Indigenous and domesticated mushroom, against Pseudocercospora griseola of Phaseolus vulgaris, meet mushroom demands by domesticating indigenous edible mushroom and promote food security in the Western highlands of Cameroon.
