Moforcha Lilian Zemenjuh is a PhD student of Mycology/Plant Pathology in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Buea. She obtained her B.Sc M.Sc. in Botany and Plant Physiology from the University of Buea in 2015 and 2018 respectively. Her current research is on Molecular phylogeny, pathogenicity, control and effect of soil physicochemical properties of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp elaiedis (Foe) from oil palm plantations in Cameroon.
She is a member of several scientific organizations, including the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP), American Phytopathological Society, African Phytopathological Society (APS), Organization of Women for the Developing World (OWSD).
Lilian received funding from the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) Covid-19 fund in 2022, and a travel grant to attend the International Congress for Plant Pathology (ICPP) in Lyon, France (2023). Lilian was one of the speakers at the African Fungus day in 2023.
She has equally participated and facilitated in several conferences and workshops in Cameroon such as the Humboldt Kolleg, Douala Cameroon in February, 2024; Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS), Cameroon Bioscience Science conferences etc.
She has been a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Buea, Cameroon from 2020 till date. Lilian is a co-author of three articles. She is passionate about raising young innovative scientists and collaborating with other scientists worldwide to bring about a sustainable environment.
