Mrs. CHIA Genevieve KAIN, was born on the 19/01/1991. She is currently a PhD student in the Faculty of Science, The University of Bamenda, Cameroon. She’s married with four kids. She obtained her BSc. and MSC. in Applied Botany in the year 2014 and 2020 respectively, in the same University.
In 2021, she won a research grant for PhD students from the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP) which she used to start up her research. she was also awarded a 3rd price for students poster presentations at the American Phytopathological Society, African Devision (APS-AD) and a one year research grant in 2023 by the German Academic Exchange services (DAAD scholarship) to carryout part of her PhD research in Germany. She is currently a member of the APS-AD and the BSPP organizations.
