Baba Conscience Lamfe is a PhD in Botany (Plant Pathology) student in the Department of Plant Sciences, Faculty of Science in the University of Bamenda, Cameroon. She has a M.SC. in Agronimy (Ecophysiology) from the College of Technology University of Bamenda in 2022 and a B.Sc., in Crop Production Technology in 2020 from the University of Bamenda.
Her research is focused on food security. Conscience is a member of the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP). She participated in the events of Field and laboratory identification of pests and disease of fruits and vegetables in the North West Region of Cameroon from December 2022 to 16 June 2023 in Bamenda sponsored by British Society for Plant Pathology. Conscience attended an international conference organized by the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) in 2023 under the theme ‘Interdisciplinary, Digitalization and Technological Advancement for Sustainable Development’.
She also attended the workshop of the conference on the topic: Enhancing Scientific Communication and grant Writing Skills for Sustainable Development, Organiszed by the Cameroon Academy of Young Scientists (CAYS) during the CONFCAYS2023. Conscience also work with INCITIS Food Cameroon. She is currently working on the PhD topic ‘Diversity of fungi pathogens on wheat (Triticum aestivum) in the northwest region of Cameroon supervised by Prof Tonjock Rosemary Kinge and Prof Mbouobda Hermann Desire.
