Academic Biography

Prof. Dr. Fidele Ntie-Kang is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Buea, Cameroon, where he also heads the Centre for Drug Discovery. His research focuses on chemoinformatics for natural products and drug discovery from African medicinal plants. He is internationally recognized for advancing natural product databases and computational drug design.

Education

• PhD in Computer-Aided Drug Design, University of Douala, Cameroon
• Postdoctoral Fellowship (Georg Forster, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation), Germany
• Habilitation in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, under Prof. Wolfgang Sippl

Major Contributions

• African Natural Products Database: Developed a resource with 11,000+ compounds and 1,700+ species from across Africa.
• Book Series Editor: Solo editor of “Chemoinformatics of Natural Products.”
• Research focus on computational drug discovery using African medicinal plants.
